Father Responsible for Tuition
If a father abandons his family in Massachusetts and then the couple is divorced is he still responsible for some or all of a child's higher educational tuition if they attend school in Florida?

If the divorce happened in the Massachusetts courts, AND the father remains in Massachusetts, the answer is "Yes." The answer is not so certain if both parties have left Massachusetts.

You should review the original divorce agreement or judgment from the court, together with any subsequent orders or modifications to find out what the expectations of the parties are.
