I feel that my son is paying way to much money for child support, he pays his ex girlfriend 130.00 a week for his daughter he does not make but 450.00 a week and he has other expenses that have left him broke. We recently found out that the mom of my granddaughter gives the money to her mother each week for rent and that she has wic for the baby and welfare, mean while the court had ordered her to share in the driving for picking up and droping off the baby and she does not ever do this, more expenses for my son. she hurts him by using the baby as a way of getting what she wants. I am the babys maternal grandmother and she will not let me help pick up the baby. she hands my granddaughter to other people when my son picks her up. my son has his daughter every weekend sleep overs and 2 nights during the week. its starting to take its toll on me as a single parent myself I am buying all the diapers and formula for my granddaugher not to mention clothing and all the other things is there any way the court can reduce the payments for him or is there any way if you could tell me if she will be responsible for breaking a court order. I love my grandaughter and feel like she is just being used for the money.

It would seem your son has a number of potential actions against the mother. I suggest you and he contact an attorney in your area for assistance. The Standard Support Guidelines indicate he should be paying $111.00 per week if he only makes $450 per week and the child is not a teenager.
