Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Fees

if a lawyer never gave a fee agreement orally or written, and you had to change lawyers during the case, and he stated that he didn't care or matter to him, do you still have to pay him full requested amount?

: Fees

The short answer is that you have to pay. What you would have to pay is the dispute. It is unfortunate and probably wrong not to discuss the fees with you. This fees should have a basis and should not have to appear out of thin air.

What your options are depends on the amount of the fees, and sometimes even the nature of the case.

If you want to discuss this, contact me.
