Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

I filed for divorce against my husband who lives in England. I was told by the court I could serve him the papers via registered mail, and did. Months after sending them I have heard nothing from him, or gotten the papers back. I know he's now living with his girlfriend as of April. I don't know what to do. I am on TAFDC, he doesn't pay child support, nothing, I can't afford a lawyer or to have him served by an officer in another country. We haven't even lived together since the wedding in 2011. Any advice or even a website to get me in the right direction would be greatly helpful. I have tried finding the answers myself online, but there isn't much information that I've found on divorcing someone from another country. Thank you for your time.

You can contact the US Embassy in the UK for a list of process servers in London. You should have sent the Complaint by International Registered Mail Return Receipt, if you did not send it that way before.

Otherwise, your husband has to be served in accordance with the Hague Convention.

Good Luck
