Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

My friend is being threatened to be sued by her girlfriends father over a petbike that she was given by her girlfriend. Her father said that she forced his daughter to buy the bike for her, but she gave it to my friend as a gift. What gives him the right to ask for a bike that his daughter gave to her girlfriend? She is 16 and my friend is 18, but just because she is a minor does not mean she cannot give gifts. He had his lawyer write my friend a letter saying if she didnt return the bike in 3 days, they would have someone take it. She thinks its a mistake because of the spelling of Youtube being with a U instead of Y. I am worried about her. What should she do?

A minor may not have the right to gift.

That there is a typo says less about the writer than the reader.

Return the bike.
