If I have full physical custody of my child but shared legal custody, can the other parent prevent me from moving out of state with our child even though I have full physical custody of her?

Yes. To move out of state, you need the written consent of the other parent or permission of the court.

To remove the child from the Commonwealth, you will need a writing signed by the other parent or you will need the permission of the court. If you require the assistance of counsel, please feel free to contact our office.

A strange question that you would seek to remove a child even though he is the child of both parents, and you seek to avoid asking. There is more to this than meets the eye.
