Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts
My granddaughter is desperate
my daughter has been emotionally abusing my granddaughter for several years. I want emergency guardianship. The child is 10 has moved 7 times in 4 years and has been to 5 schools she has learning disabilites and has been caught up in the whirlwind of 3 unstable relationships. My daughter is a liar and tells the stories as she see's them and my granddaughter begs not to go home with her my daughter is a recovering alcoholic now living with a woman who is bipolar and has only 7 months soberity how do I help my granddaughter. They live in NH and I live in mass. My daughter had the little girl hosptialized for a week in a ''ward'' because they claimed my granddaughter is a danger to herself and others. She is systematically destroying this child when she is angry at us because we disagree she cuts us out of the child's life and child is hysterical

Re: My granddaughter is desperate
You should retain an attorney who is licensed in NH and seek a guardianship. You need to find a NH attorney who is experienced in custody battles.

If that is what you see and believe then file a request/petition with your county probate and family court.
