Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

grandparent/parent rights

I had a child with someone 10 years ago, at age 2 he and his family decided they wanted nothing to do with my child. He is not on the birth certificate aand when I was married my husband put his name on the certificate and we changed my childs name. Now 8 years later they are looking for a relationship with my child, I do not want this. Legally is there anything they can do?
