Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

i would like to get my guardianship changed over to a different family. i love with my mom brother and sister, and i would like to go to a different school in a different town, but i need to live in that district to be able to go to that school.

the family that i have in mind is more then willing to take me in.

do i have to go to court to get it switched?

would they have to adopt me?

(i would rather not have it be adoption)

The easiest way to have the family you speak of gain legal guardianship, would be to file a Petition for Guardianship with the appropriate family and probate court with your mother and father's consent.
