harrassment
my 25 year old daughter in boston mass. has received 4 notes, one tacked to her apt door, the 2nd,her place of work,2 more thru the mail postmarked boston -typed-calling her names and referring to intimate facts that only her x boyfriend would know. he is her only intimate relationship since going to boston. they were together a year.about to move in with her when she had a change of heart.he is 34 and a successful salesman. she is a grad student and waitressing. his words are horrible below the belt referring to things that he knows she is most sensitive about.no other suspects and the timing is such that it could only be him.her brother is living with her for summer and her x had called him to go have a beer with him-that nite was the first nite the note appeared on the door. alibi? her dad has emailed him, he denies any of it. she has filled out form at police station, no names asked.now what? that was after first note-what can we expect or demand from this police department?should she go back?can a cop give this fellow a warning? without his name on paper? no fingerprints taken. he is unstable and my daughter is scared-he is playing with her mind as he doesn't sign anything. what is her recourse?

Re: harrassment
If she is in fear of him and a judge feels that it is a reasonable and immediate fear then she can apply for and most likely get a restraining order to keep him away from her. I would keep after the police to get them to do an investigation into the matter. Any other help I can give, please call me at 508-587-9111. Martha Kovner
