Holding onto child support payments

If your ex wife didn't cash in her child support checks from 2 years ago of over 2,000. dollars and handed you those checks today and demaned payment in full, who is in contempt? me? What action can I take if any.

She should be in contempt for not applying the payments to the children's support when you made them.
