House division

my wife wants a divorce,i didn't but things seem to have come to that point.must i sell the house and divide 50/50? I bought the house just prior too the mariage,i have made all the payments,payed all the bills,paid for most of the improvements but not all, and done 85% of the actual work myself. as for the homefront ive done all the grocery shoping,yardwork and improvement,over 50%of housework.My wife insisted she be on the deed ,this was done 6 months ago now she wants out and half of what the house sells for and i cannot re finance or afford to buy her out due to bancrupcy during the marriage. Ive owned this house for 5 years now.

There are many factors for a judge to consider when dividing property in a divorce. How the property was acaquired, the length of the marriage, and the title of the property are only some of these. A lawyer needs to get detailed information before giving an opinion on division of assets.
