Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Ink color

My QA Dept won't accept signatures on Training forms if they are not in blue or black ink. Being a regulated industry, can we accept ink of other colors?

Re: Ink color

In my opinion, ink is ink. It all photocopies. But if your QA department disagrees, who am I to question? And who are you to question?

If I press my finger on a magenta stamp pad and put the resulting magenta fingerprint on a signature line, intending it to be my execution and assent, and your QA people give me a hassle, I will tell them that my fingerprint in magenta is both my "signature" and harder to forge than the scribble I use as a signature.

Please note that the foregoing paragraph all of the above is cranky diatribe, and not a legal opinion.

The reason for Black and Blue relate to scannning of signatures and regs for certain industries. All financial documents for mortgages for instance are required to signed in blue or black ink it has to do with industry standards.
