Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Interpretation?

I have an issue with a specific term in my Separation Agreement that I'm sure would be easy for a Judge to interpret for us. Is it ever appropriate to go before a judge and ask their opinion on the matter? If so, how is it done? By Motion of some kind?

I'm trying to avoid asking my attorney because I'm sure my ex's attorney would have a different interpretation, etc.

Re: Interpretation?

No to second sentence. If there is an ambiguity, you can file a motion for clarification or you can seek a modification. If the agreement is not signed, then get legal advice.
