Intrastate Move

Mother and father share joint legal and physical custody, mother has primary residence.If mother wants to move 25 miles away from city is is in now,but still in state,does it need to be approved by father?Can he take mother to court to stop her?

He can challenge it in court if he is so inclined, but MA law does not prevent you from moving anywhere you want to within the Commonwealth. Twenty-five miles is not going to give any court a problem, unless you are deliberately moving somewhere that will be difficult for the father to visit, and have no other reason for moving.
