Joint Legal Custody Question
I have joint legal custody of my son for over a year. We are supposed to discuss any medical descisions that are not life threatening beforehand. I recently found out from my son that my ex is taking him to see a child physcologist. When I questioned her about it she admitted taking him, but has refused to discuss it further since she knows I'll object. I would like to know what if any re course I have. My son has shown no signs of needing mental help. We have been seperated since he was 1 years old (he's 9 now).

At that age, given your legal custody, you can speak to the psychologist, and you can also ask for copies of the treatment records. I would suggest that is the first step.
If she refuses to provide or identify the psychologist, then I would suggest that you file a contempt action in court.

Re: Joint Legal Custody Question
If you have joint legal custody, you are entitled to that information. If you know who the physcologist is and can provide them with your documetation, you should be able to retain information regarding your son's services.
If not, then you may have to proceed to a complaint for contempt. However, to save funds and emotions try and work it out prior to proceeding to court. Sincerely, Maria Murber
