legal guardianship

i need to find out how i go about finding out who is the legal guardian of a family member of mine. how do i go about doing this?

If the supposed ward has lived in the same county all his/her life, you can check the probate and family court records for that county. If s/he has moved around, you will have to check each county court's records.

Sometimes parents assume they are guardians for a handicapped child who becomes an adult, but this is not true.
