Liability for my house after divorce

Can you please advise if I have any rights involving what is being done in my house that still has my name on the deed and mortgage? My Ex wife now has a boyfriend living with her and my children. He's now cutting down trees,a nd working on the house. If he gets hurt, am I liable? What can i do to stop these tasks in the house? Do I have Any rights with my house?

Re: Liability for my house after divorce

1st question: Why is your name still on the deed and Mortgage? Your divorce decree sets out (or should set out) the respective rights of you and your ex-spouse to the marital home.

As for whether you can stop the boyfriend from cuttign down trees... you will need to go to court if the value of the house is being lowered by removing trees and foliage. As to whetehr you are liable if he gets hurt.. that is why there is homeowner's insurance.
