Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts
Lien on property for child support payments
What is the procedure for attaching a lien on an
ex-husbands property for back child support
payments? Can this be done and does he need
to be notified ahead of time?

The easiest way is to request the Department of Revenue to collect the money for you. Otherwise, you can file a contempt in court and seek an attachment. Yes, he should be notified.
