Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

I live in Massachusetts and my ex has custody of our 2 children. I've been out of work since January 2009 but have been actively looking for new employment. I've already filed all the necessary paperwork and have a court date for modification next month. My question is, can my new husband be obligated to pay MY child support?

the short answer is no. However, his income can be considered to a a limited, very limited, extent as to your family bills.
