Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts
I live in Massachusetts and I've been divorced for 4 yrs now and since re-married and had another child. My x and I have 2 sons who are 5 & 10. My x introduce my sons to different women on and off constantly. I believe he is setting a bad example for the boys. I get really upset when he tells our son "oh if "so & so call" dont mention her name in front of "so & so". He is now using the boys to cover up things. I dont care what my x does with his life but I do care when my sons are telling me these stories. I believe that its really inappropriate. What can I do legally about it? I've informed my x about my concerns about this and he just blew it off. What can I do?

You didn't mention what the current custody/parenting plan in place is? A Complaint for modification may be filed asking the court to modify the current order/judgment by adding language that would address the above issue. As a result of the new order, if your ex-husband was to continue doing what he is doing, it could be viewed as a violation of a court order and your ex-husband could be found guilty of contempt of court.
I suggest you diary the dates and times that your children are reporting these concerns to you. If you are interested in a free consultation, please contact me at 617-523-3200 or via email at [email protected].
