marital asset

if one signs quit claim deed while married and estranged from family

is the home still considered a marital asset?

In Massachusetts, everything that both parties own gets thrown into the pot when looking at assets. Whether something gets divided depends on who owns the property, whether the spouse knows about it, the purpose of the transfer, and a myriad of other factors.
