Marriage Certificate
I am divorced and noticed on my marriage certficate back in the 80's they have a wrong name on it other then my spouse. I don't want to fix it but could this be grounds that it is invalid and thus not married?

If you were divorced, then you proved to the Court's satisfaction that you were married. A judgment of divorce can ONLY be entered if the judge rules that you were lawfully married. The marriage certificate is not the principal evidence of this in any event. Your testimony under oath at the divorce hearing satisfied the Court. Even if it was a quick, five-minute hearing, the judge or an attorney asked you both whether you were married at such-and-such a place on such-and-such a date. You answered, under oath, "Yes."
When it comes down to it, the certificate just gets you in the door.
The front of the certificate is what counts, in any event.
