Filing for an annulment in Massachusetts requires proof of fraud and is not guaranteed. It will be less stressful and costly to file for divorce. You do not need his permission to file for divorce and will the result will be the same. I would be happy to speak with you about your options. You can contact me at 617-410-6467.
Thank you for your question.
I am so sorry to hear that your husband was unfaithful to the marriage. At this point, the parties are legally able to go their separate ways without too much difficulty. I would say that your easiest and cheapest option would be to simply file for divorce as quickly as possible and/or reach a negotiated settlement.
If the parties are in agreement, our office would likely be able to quote you a reasonable flat fee price. Good luck.
