Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Massachusetts Divorced Remarried in Michigan

My husband failed to disclose his pension. When asked he always told me he had none. We went thru an uncontested do it yourself divorce. A year after the divorce I learn he has a pension. Can I reopen this case or do I lose out to his lie . I am remarried . I was married to my ex 29 years and he was the breadwinner.

Your only choice is to go back to court and file a motion to re-open the divorce decree, and as reasons cite fraud. If the attorney who represented your husband signed off on the financial statement, this attorney also has potential downside.
