Do minors, aged 14, have a say in custody battles as to whom they would choose to be with/

The court may consider the opinion of minors over the age of 13 with regard to custody issues. A court is more likely to consider the opinion of a minor if an adult, such as a parent or a counselor, requests that the court do so.

The court may consider the answers of children over the age of 13. The Court may be give greater consideration to the child's statements if a parent, counselor, therapist or other interest party requests that they do so.
