Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

modification

The thing of it all is that they were never married, but he tried to make claim that they were. Also he hides money in an shared account with his mother. I have nothing to hide and neither does my wife. She has just got back to work this year after a long hiatus due to pregnancies and caring for our children. All he is trying to do is try to show that I am rich, when in fact together we only make under $60,000 per year and get out of paying additional child support because he is only paying $50.00 per week and he is working. He has been evading papers fromthe court for a long time now. He has friends who work in the Suffolk Co. court sytems and had many things expidited quickly for his benefit. So thus we made motion and was granted to change venue to Middlesex Co.

My arguement is that it is not conducive to the case because my wife is the plantiff, not the defendant. So in all seriousness, I am at wits end and I am tired of paying for an attorney each and everytime we have to go to got for modification of support or visitation. any lawyer he retains is either friend or family. Is this conflict of interest?

Re: modification

Retain an attorney to file a complaint for modification of the child support if, and only if, you can prove a material change in circumstances that requires an increase under the new child support guidelines. Good Luck!
