It is up to you, but usually up to the date of the court hearing on the motion to compel.

Once you file your motion to compel, it must be either allowed or denied by a judge. If allowed, it will become an order of the court. The judge will order that any appropriate documents be produced within a certain period of time. Both parties can request more or less time from the judge.
