Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Motion to Intervene, Guardianship termination

Back in 2007 with the help of an attorney I filed a motion to intervene. It was granted. I was given visitation. However, since that time the maternal grandparents were given permanent guardianship. I stopped visitation because of being harrassed by the guardians. They are even having the children make up stories about things happening while they were here, etc. Don't know if it matters but I was not notified at the time of the hearing for permanent guardianship. I can't afford another lawyer...would be great if I could. The court clerks say I need to file a petition for Grandparent Visitation and serve the guardians. I know this will cost me several hundreds of dollars that I don't have because there are two of them and the biological parents. Any body got any suggestions or ideas? Thank you.

Go to your local law library and ask for MCLE books related to this matter, or see the Lawyer of the Day in the local Probate and Family Court.
