move to another state

Am mother of two kids.1year old and six year old.We are not legally married with father of two kids.My question is he pays child support and has visitation rights.Right know we exchanging the kids in the police station and we going back for hearing in three months.i want to move to arizona where my family is so that they can with babysitting and other issues,can i move to another state??? is it adivisable to bring the issue in court??am scared the father may refuse

You need either the permission of the court or the father. The Court will most likely allow you to move for work and additional support from family.

However, there may be changes in visitation, such as requiring you to allow the children to spend vacations with the father.

You would be wise to retain an attorney to obtain a custody, support and visitation order that includes the permission of the court, with notice to the putative father, to move out of state, which should be granted on showing the move to be in the best interest of the children. Good Luck!
