moving out of state with child

As the full custodial parent (my ex have legal visitation) can I move out of state with my child?

You need either the courts permission or your ex's permission. IF your ex is going to give his or her permission you need to get it in writing.

Assuming by "ex" that you were married, no. You cannot move unless he or the court gives permission.

Having said that, the "real advantage" standard does NOT raise the court's bar very high. The real question is whether visitation can be reasonably accommodated in some way.
