Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Neglect & Abuse Allegations

I am a non-costodial parent & have visitation for my 2yr old daughter. Her mother has brought her to the doctors and had DSS involved in my life for neglect and the 2nd was child abuse which is such a lie! She has a rash on her face and i myself had no idea what it could be from. How can I protect myself? What do i do? Im a really good father and im being punished for it!

Re: Neglect & Abuse Allegations

You are going to have to take all possible steps. IN the worst case scenario, you may need to monitor your own visits (if they are not already supervised). This would mean having witnesses present, and/or other means of recording the events (gaps, of course, would then be questioned).

There is no "overnight cure" to offer you. You are simply going to have to heed "DSS" (now "DCF"), and work slowly to show that you are responsible and being railroaded.
