Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Is the Non-Custodial Parent Responsible for College Tuition?

I will be attending a private university for the first time this fall. My mother fully supports my decision to go, but can only support me minimally in the money department. My father (who lives in Alabama) is very adament about my decision to attend college and thinks that it is unnessecary. He won't help pay at all. Is there any way that we can take him to court and make him pay this?
