Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Online prostitution

My husband had become obsessed with online prostitution and voyeurism with prostitutes in Russia and Romania. This involved setting up a webcam on his computer and engaging in ''live'' sex with these prostitutes. This also came with a very high price tag. He used credit cards to pay for these services (charged per minute)and also wired these prostitutes cash when they asked him. My children, minors at the time, found all this on the family computer, in addition to nude pictures of their father. I have tried to use this evidence (all of which I printed out) to get the house signed over to me. He destroyed us financially, emotionally, etc. I need a lot of cash as my children are in various stages of college and my son needs a corneal transplant. I am also recently unemployed. Since divorce in MA is 50/50, his behavior is not considered important. I was also told I may have to share his $70K of credit card debt (sometimes he used them for household purchases).

Do I have any recourse regarding the equity in the house and not having to shoulder the credit card debt? I never used the cards myself and never knew we even had credit cards.

I didn't know about the finances because whenever I tried to discuss money, he threatened me.

Re: Online prostitution

Who told you that you might have to pay for half of the credit card debt?

A judge? If so, who?

Did you Hubby have a defense counsel? Who?
