Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Opening Someone Else's Mail

Is it against the law to open USPS mail not addressed to you ?

If a sensitive document was mailed to me, and someone other than me opened it to learn the contents, is that against the law ?

Generally speaking it is not legal. However, there may be certain exceptions.

If you can tell me who opened your mail, and the kind of mail, it would help?
