Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

I owe close to $70K

Years ago, when my 2 kids were young, I messed up and ended up behind in my child support payments. I was making decent money, then lost my job, and the arrears money added up quickly. Now I owe close to 70K and it's sooooo unfair. I'd say that about 90% of this is penalties and interest. What can I do so that I won't be paying for the rest of my life? Those penalties and interest are killers and I really didn't ever owe alot of money. My kids are now 24 and 21 and I feel the payments will never stop.

Consider retaining an attorney to attempt to negotiate a settlement for a lesser amount. Good Luck!
