Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

I owned my house before I married 1yera after she wanted her name on it to feel it was her home I did it and now a year later we are divorcing I have always paid the mortgage and she has not worked fo the last year . Will she get hate and do I have to pay her student loans?

There is really no way to answer your question about specific assets and debts without looking at the marital estate as a whole. However, if you were only married for two years, the court will generally seek to return both parties back to their financial condition before the marriage. The correct but difficult answer is that all property and all debts belong to the couple, and the court's job is to divide them fairly. What is "fair" depends on your specific relationship. If you think you and your spouse can arrive at a fair outcome with the help of counsel, I would urge you to speak to a lawyer and attempt an uncontested divorce.
