Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Palimony laws in regards to real estate

I bought a house while living with my partner. The loan was based soley on my salary, credit, and down payment. For the last 4 years, we've shared equally in the mortgage as well as other household expenses. Should our relationship end, does he have any Palimony or other legal claim to co-ownership of the house?

He might have a claim to something. There is no definite easy answer.

When you were about to buy the house, that would have been a good time for the two of you to draw up a written "relationship agreement."
