Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts
parental rights/laws concerning coerced pregnancy
In MA, a woman lies to a man, convincing him she is on birth control. She gets pregnant, the man does not want the child. The couple was never married and they were only acquainted for about 3 months. The woman ended the relationship with the man 2 weeks before she informed him about the pregnancy. What rights does the man have in this situation. Will he be forced to support the child, even though he was tricked and manipulated into creating a child he does not want?

Re: parental rights/laws concerning coerced pregnancy
Sue her for fraud/deceit.
Do not sign an acknowledgment of paternity.
Also you'll need a DNA test to be sure you are the father.
Of course, you'll need one from the child. Whether a sample for a test is possible during the fetal stages, I do not know.
