Re: parenting class

Courts consider the refusal to take a two-session, six-hour class for $50.00 to be sufficient cause to limit the rights of the refusing parent. You are refusing to obtain some education on the effect of tyour divorce on your children. Moreover, you are refusing to follow a court order, -not- a suggestion, -not- a "pretty please." At the very least, the Court can (and usually will) limit your rights to seek modifications of judgments. If your refusal is openly obstinate or contemptuous, you may be refused shared legal custody over the child, or sanctioned in other ways.

This should not be a question posted on the board. The class is not costly, easy to take, and "attend/fail" (attendance passes you, non-attendance is the only way to fail). You are -ordered- to take it. Why are you even asking about the effects of refusing to follow a court order if you want shared legal custody?

TAKE THE CLASS.
