Unless your father is going to challenge his parental obligations, he is presumed to be your biological father. The court will determine which of your parents has physical custody of you. At your age the court will take into consideration of your preference.

I would strongly suggest you not take sides and that your parents not ask you to take sides. If you prefer at this stage of your life to live with your mother, if asked tell the truth.

Your father, who you say has always been there for you, is your father. If he is going to deny he is your father at this point that is his right, but if he is a good father he will not. If you are a good child you will treat him as you always have as your father. Do not pit your parents against each other. If you want to live with your mother and visit with your father then tell your parents that is what you want when asked.

I assume this man has treated you as his child and you have treated and felt towards him as you would your biological father. Do not allow the divorce to change that. If he changes his behavior or feelings toward you, that would be unfortunate.

This is not a decision for you to make, it is for your parents and the court. You are a kid, this is not your responsibility.
