Individuals can go to the Probate Court in Massachusetts and look at their file. They can not remove it from the clerk's office but they can make copies at the coin operated machines. Some portions of the files maybe impounded in which case the clerk's office will make copies and charge for them.

You can go to the Probate Court for the county where the Probate was handled and review your file. You can make copies for a fee. You should have the case number.

I agree with the others that you are free to travel to the probate and family court where the probate was entered and request to see the file. Certified copies of documents cost more than regular copies made on the copy machine. Bring change with you for the coin-operated copy machines.

You can get copies at the clerk's office and you should expect to pay for them - maybe 25 cents per page.
