Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Photo Authentication

I am requested to be a witness in a divorce trail due to a picture I took of an injury to another party. This party wants me to appear in court to authenticate the photo. I've been told that just issueing a statement without appearing personally is not going to hold up. Is this true?

Must i authenticate a photo in person, or is a sworn statement legal and upholding?

\Thank you.

Re: Photo Authentication

Courts have rules about testimony. Affidavits are not allowed in most instances. In order for you to qualify the picture, you must take the stand and testify. However, if all parties to the litigation agree, then an affidavit would suffice.
