Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Previous court orders

Couple of questions (These pertain to guardianship of minors and visitation):

1) Can one ask the court to review previous court orders to see if they are still standing? If so, is there a form that needs to be completed?

2) If one filed a motion to intervene which was granted should one receive petitions and motions from petionioners concerning the hearing or from the court informing them of up coming hearings? Or is there a time limit on these orders?

Thank you.

Re: Previous court orders

You can file a Petition for clarification of previous orders. However, unless an order has terminated by action of the court or its own terms, it continues.

once you file a petition to intervene and you have served all the parties, you should be copied on all notices of hearings.

Re: Previous court orders

Question 1 makes no sense.

You should have received a copy of the court order. You should review your file and see if the order is in it.
