Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts
Two questions, actually (I am asking for a friend in the Philipines)
1. Is a marriage executed in the Philipines recognized in the United States and
2. If it is, could a divorce be carried out in the United States (there is no divorce in the Philipines)

1. MA will recognize a Phillipines marriage as long as it was legally executed.
2. If both parties have established residence in MA, 6 months I believe, for a reason other than obtaining a divorce then you can get a divorce here.
