hi my name is raylene i am 26 i was born raylene durgin but i am plannin to change my last name to my biological fathers last name which is stacy my father is deceased which makes this harder i want to take the guy who signed my birth certificate off he only signed cuz my dad was not around at the time of my birth dna was never done but my mom was married to the other guy when i was born and he like i said only signed cause my dad was not there and i want to take his name off even if it means saying father unknown where my father is deceased what can i do

You can have the father as listed on your birth certificate to be tested now through DNA. Once it is proven he is not the father then the birth certificate can be changed.

If your biological father acknowledged his paternityy to you/court, other in some fashion then you be able to have his name placed on the birth certificate. Unfortunately this part is very difficult to prove.
