relinquishing right

I was recently contacted my my ex wife's attorney, the letter states that her husband would like to adopt our 6yr daughter (I've not seen her for a year). I feel this would be good for her and was wondering if I relinquish my rights would I still need to give any child support ever again including any future medical expenses?

Re: relinquishing right

Once Adopted, support becomes responsibility of Adopting parents unless something happens to them and a modification is filed to reinstate your obligation.
