Re: Remarriage after divorce.

Remarriage rarely reduces (or raises) child support obligations. The fairly rare exception tends to be when the non-custodial parent gets into a "serious windfall" marriage in which all of his or her needs are well taken care of (e.g., a welfare mom marrying Donald Trump, or a janitor marrying a movie star) so his or her income is "freed up."

The spouses of parents afre not, however, generally considered to be obligated to contribute to support, directly or otherwise.
