removal of child in out of wedlock case

I am wondering what is the legal difference between ability to gain permission to remove from Mass in a paternity case (two and half years along, and no permanent custody order in place)---and laws applying to children of divorce? I have had our three year son to date, and have lost my job and want to move back to home to my family?
