how do i find out if i have a restraining order against me

you can go to the local district court or you can file a CORI request with the Department of Probation.

The two court systems that have most R.O.'s are the District Court and the Probate Court. You can call or visit these courts.

You can also call your local police, who would be happy to serve you if there is an order in effect. Be aware that police will ask you to come to the station, especially if you have outstanding warrants on any charge.
